I am in love with my new hot pink babies. Who are they? Reward for finishing my first official 10K race :) So first the race report than the babies. Bit late, the race was last Wednesday as a part of the Olympic Day Run series that is held all around the world. My calf still was not at all ready after the Saturday's half-marathon, but you cannot choose the dates of the races, well, let's see how did it go.

Hopefully you won't mind that it took me little longer to finish the race report. I am a busy crazy hot pink runner :) Completed another race this week (10 k this time), tried to recover my calf from both of those, ordered new running babies ... I will try not to forget about any exciting details and news!

Getting to write the race report for the Olomouc half-marathon I ran on Saturday took me little longer than expected. I hope you will forgive me :) It was a demanding weekend followed by truly important presentation at work on Monday, so here I am finally ready to share some thoughts and memories with you. Snap preview ... missed improving my PR by 20 seconds (I knew I shouldn't have picked up that gel that fell down at mile 9!). Keep on reading for more juicy details :) For those who won't, my real time was 1:51:45 and I finished 77th out of more than 250 women!

Very quick post to let you know that we successfully finished the Olomouc half-marathon. We meaning me and my best friend. She did her first in great time under two hours!!! Unofficial finishing time according to my Garmin is 1:51:44 which is this years best and 20s slower than my personal best from 2009. Race report will follow probably tomorrow. Great race!!!
Good night and good luck :)

Weekend race is coming up this Saturday - the Olomouc half-marathon. And actually another 10K race next Wednesday (the Olympic day run). So how am I getting ready for the races, what is new in my pre-race feelings and training? Strange thing is that exactly this week I became mentally tired every evening since the work is getting very busy. Just have to deal with it. And very big news: back in tempo runs after two years almost totally without them. How comes? I am very stubborn.

Life is meant to be enjoyed so I am gonna share in this post the ways I enjoyed this Saturday. Basically, it is quite some bits of cooking (look forward to some delicious recipes :) ), relax, easy running with the new Garmin Forerunner 110, some running research and house chores (don't worry, I won't bother you with describing those!). And don't forget the most difficult part of my marathon training - the sleep schedule.

A girl from Czech Republic, Europe is writing her running blog in English and counting her distances in miles. Are you asking what the hell went wrong? Since my blog was added among the blog list at behej.com (bit smaller yet great Czech version of RunnersWorld.com), I decided finally to write this post I have been planning for some time. Let me give you some answers ...

This is just a quick note to let you know that I updated my running playlist so it matches the real one in my iPhone. I will repost about this hopefully soon when I will be searching for additional songs for my long runs. Motivated by the super extra cool Roxette concert in Prague last night. It was nice additional second phase of the training after my long Sunday run of 13 miles :) Dancing on the heels!
The playlist is always on your right hand side in the grey column :)
Good night, good luck & happy running!

It has been said many times that creativity comes up when the resources are limited. So did it for me this morning. I know I already posted today, but this is too exciting, even though perhaps marginal for someone. I went to bed at 10 pm on Saturday night (!!!) in order to get up early on Sunday, so I can fuel up for my long run and go out in the decent hour before the heat gets unsupportable and so do crowds of inline skaters and annoying cops at my favorite running location. And now me forgetting to do a proper shopping list should screw these efforts? No way!
OK, I know this sounds bit crazy, but I am crazy, so what? As you can guess from the title of my post, some annoying (I called him "f*cking" cop when tagging my run in my Nike+ app) cop caused me to run faster hills on my Thursday workout. Contrary from what you might think, he actually didn't chase me and I didn't even see him while running. So how could he made my unplanned hills workout faster?
