Wanted to pop in quick funny post, but while thinking about it, I changed the concept. List of gratefulness. I am grateful for many more things in my life, but these few mainly running related things made my Friday really cool. Acknowledging that you have so many things to be grateful will simply improve your mood instantly. I am trying to get this acknowledgment in my routine now, world suddenly becomes better place! Try it for yourself and feel free to share your things you are grateful for in the comment section.
Friday list of things I am grateful for:
- I am grateful that my workout went so well even though I was kind of afraid, because it felt it was gonna be kind of hard on the tired legs (5 km at 5:15 km/min = 3.11 miles at 8:26 min/mile).
- I am grateful for the fact that by finishing today's workout my overall running total since May 2009 crossed 2500 km (and I passed to the purple level on Nike+ :D ).
- I am grateful that I have just finished the great and inspirational book: Born to Run
by Christopher McDougall. It's not about the barefoot running, it's about the way of life of the Tarahumara!
- I am grateful for getting so well on with The Coach so far. It actually seems he likes my craziness. Truth to be told, he has only seen me three times so far :)
- I am grateful for changing my bathroom in a heaven on Earth by today's delivery of my bathtub caddy
(picture bellow). Just to be clear, it is chilli con carne, wine glass would fit in better, but beer fits better the chilli and the beer is non-alcoholic, because it has one third less calories and does not affect my training as the alcohol would.
Have a great weekend everyone!

it´s coool. Congratulatios :-) I have 100km to next level (just green). I know, you run more further and more faster and more... But you know.. it´s my challenge :-)) So it´s smaller than you, but still big for me :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you! And congratulations to you!!! You'll be in the next level very very soon. This is no comparison race, so it is really great that you run regularly and go ahead step by step. This is first time I am running this far and this fast and it took me two years to get here :)
ReplyDeleteI'm crossing my fingers for you, keep it up! And thank you for being such a loyal reader of my blog, I really appreciate it!
The most important is having fun and loving to run!!! ... I can strongly recommend the Born to Run book, you can buy it at behej.com in Czech :)
