Three Things Thursday
This post could be as well called Three Things Scratches Thursday, since that's exactly how many I got when I fell down during my today's run. But don't worry, I am alive and ready to rock on as a crazy hot pink runner reporting the ups and downs of my marathon training. And trust me I got some funny stories for you today :)

Wordless Wednesday
Hard workout in the crazy hot weather these days in Prague required ice bath for recovery as well as cottage cheese with fruits as proper fuel for muscle recovery :) |

Dirty feet = happy feet
What the hell is this about? Well, my ankle ligaments are still not perfectly ready. Getting better, but I am alternating running with bike rides in order to give it some "rest". It actually does not hurt at all for any other normal movements (walking, bike, stretching, strength workouts). And it drives me crazy that it keeps me from doing some awesome sweaty hard runs in order to progress with the training for my first marathon.

Three Things Photo Thursday
1. Do you like my Oakley Jawbones is not horizontal, but taking photo of myself while actually riding the bike isn't that easy (for me). |
I know this is bit of cheating since yesterday was the Wordless Wednesday. But we are alternating my running with bike so the ankle gets truly ready for speed workouts and for today The Coach set me for two and half hours ride at easy heart rate, I did little bit more and came back just exhausted. So I am sharing the photos I took on the way.
You can also check the Garmin activity. The purpose was the HR at 132-135, the average is bit lower due to stopping for route checks - my first timer. And obviously I did not care for the HR at the climb home, though tried for it not to skyrocket.

Foodie On The Run
I figured out that it has been some time that I have been writing about one of my two biggest addictions - the great food (the other one being exercising and getting sweaty :) ). OK, I might have posted the Wonder Cake photo Wordless Wednesday post, but that was wordless, so doesn't count. Fueling your body properly when exercising lot is crucial and since I love great food and I love cooking it, my dream came true in the beautiful balance. The runners body needs quite some portions of great and nutritious food in order to stay healthy, efficient and rebuild the muscles after the hard work. My recovery running isn't that interesting, so I decided to share some of the delicacies I spoil myself with. Open the post for the photos.

Involuntary start of triathlon training - I am addicted!
As you might have read in the Saturday crazy upset yet I hope inspiring post, my ankle or a ligament or what it is inside my ankle started hurting. After a tough internal fight I quit my training on Saturday and was resting until Tuesday. The addiction made me start my triathlon training and also made me conscious about the fact that I am totally addicted. What's my addiction?

Three Things Grateful Thursday
I am grateful for the doctor clearing my ankle for running today. It is only tired of the increased mileage and change of form. I should get gel inserts for the heel part in my shoes and I am good to go again! Yupiiii!!!
I am grateful for rediscovering the joy of bike riding due to my ankle problems. The shoe fits great as I red Lance Armstrong's It's Not About The Bike
over the weekend and am reading Every Second Counts
right now. If you are searching for great inspiration and motivation books, go for these.
I am grateful for having inspiring friends and seeing I can inspire sometimes too :)

Three Things Grateful Thursday
I am grateful for my good friends who cook and share a lunch with me and are great company.
I am grateful for the days off, when I can get rest and recharge for my next training cycle. Being nervous about not running today just reminds me how glad I am that I actually can run.
I am grateful for my new blogging friends with whom we share our joys, pains and fears and help each other to stay motivated. (Yupiii for the girls' first triathlon plan for 2012!!!)

Summary of July training
As you might have read, July was a month of changes for me, especially concerning my first marathon training. The most important change being the fact that my training is now professionally set up and supervised by The Coach. Even though I fought with some crazy attack on my immune system the first week of July, the total mileage increased in comparison to June (18 miles more, total 139 miles in July). My running schedule also significantly changed. How exactly?
